HH the Emir of Qassim expressed his happiness for sponsoring this ceremony organized by Qassim University on the occasion of the National Day, a great occasion on which we recall the heroism of our ancestors and the efforts of our leaders in building this great nation.

HH the Emir of Qassim said that the celebration of the National Day is an embodiment of loyalty and belonging, and emphasizes the continuation of the march of development and giving under our wise leadership.

His Highness pointed out that education is the most important pillar in this process, and Qassim University plays a prominent role in preparing future generations of the country's sons to be able to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

His Highness expressed his thanks to all those who contributed to the success of this ceremony, wishing everyone more progress and prosperity, and wishing God to preserve our leadership and our country, and maintain the blessings of security and stability.

For his part, His Excellency the President of the University, during his speech during the ceremony, emphasized the importance of this national anniversary, which brings happiness and pleasure on this blessed day, the 94th anniversary of the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by King Abdulaziz - may God rest his soul - where the founding king and his men, may God have mercy on them, exerted their efforts and lives to restore the land and build the glory of the great safe nation.

He added: "On this day, the epic was completed, the banner of unification was raised, wishes were fulfilled, and then the journey of development and modernization was launched, which was laid down by His Majesty, may God have mercy on him, and followed by his royal sons after him until we reached this prosperous era in which the Kingdom became a place of leadership, pioneering and global competition.

Al-Sharekh said: Whenever we remember this long journey that ended with the unification of the country, the development of capabilities, the building of human beings, and the embodiment of images of cohesion and brotherhood, we recall the inspiring words of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may God protect him, when he said: "Our glorious National Day is a cherished and renewed memory in the pages of the glorious homeland, rooted in the conscience of the great Saudi people."

The President of Al-Qassim University pointed out that our country, praise be to God, is living the images of prosperity and looking forward to the future in steady steps and promising visions, as our wise government created the reasons that make the sons and daughters of the country keep pace with the means of progress and gave them the opportunity to learn and develop in incubators that compete with international universities in response to the wise vision that we all follow in this generous country.

He stressed that Qassim University plays its role in the movement of research, education, development and promotion of sustainable development, as it succeeded in achieving advanced positions in the global ranking, and concluded external partnerships and internal agreements, and opened fields of cooperation with many parties based on its honorable reputation in the scientific community locally, regionally and internationally, explaining that this would not have been possible without God's favor, then the great support that our wise government gives to the education sectors and positive interaction.

The President of the University, on his behalf and on behalf of all university staff, affiliates and students, congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, asking Allah to protect them and keep them as a treasure for the country and Muslims. He also extended his congratulations, thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness on this occasion and for his stimulating support, sound guidance and blessed patronage of the university and its activities, and to His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Faisal bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Emir of the region, for his keenness and guidance.

His Excellency also thanked His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Council of University Affairs, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, for his efforts in advancing education in the Kingdom in general and his directives and visits to the university in particular, and all university staff for their efforts to celebrate this occasion, asking Allah, the Almighty, to preserve the banner of glory and protect our country from all harm and grant it all good and the blessings of security and stability, as He is all-knowing and responsive.

The celebration included a visual presentation on the most prominent achievements of the university, a national operetta, a patriotic poem, and the Saudi dance, in addition to honoring a number of university council members and department directors whose term of office ended during the year 2023-2024, in addition to launching the "Shamakh Homeland" initiative, which included a package of national programs and activities aimed at strengthening national cohesion and pride in the homeland and its achievements.

HH the Emir of Qassim also inaugurated the cinematic exhibition "We Dream and Achieve", which contains 28 corners, dealing with the history of the first, second and third Saudi state, the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the biography of King Abdulaziz - may God have mercy on him - and visual presentations of the kings of the Kingdom - may God have mercy on them - until our prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman - may God protect them, in addition to the achievements of Saudi Vision 2030, national projects and university achievements.
