Al-Qassim University has set Monday, 9/15/1437 AH to be the beginning of the application for the academic year 1437-1438 AH for male and female students who obtained the secondary certificate through the link of the Deanship of Admission and Registration on the university website www.qu.edu.sa, and the application period continues until the evening of Monday, 9/29/1437 AH.

He explained that the university's website will be available to fill out the application forms during that period so that the applicant or applicant fills out the admission application data with the correct information, the most important of which is the civil record and the choice of desires from among the desires available at the university, while the rest of the data will be brought from the relevant authorities, and there is no need to send the papers via premium mail, indicating that the applicant or applicant can then follow up the application for admission through the site through the civil record number and the password he put when filling out the application, and he or she will not be considered

His Excellency also pointed out that male and female applicants should familiarize themselves with important links on the deanship's website that help them know the admission mechanism and conditions at the university, the available majors, and the majors that require a written or skill test or oral interview before opening the admission portal, as it is considered a condition for admission in those majors, and he also emphasized that the applicant bears all legal consequences In the event that he or she does not review and follow the site continuously; in order to identify the status of his or her application and then approve the nomination for the department in which he or she was nominated for admission by clicking (OK) on the nomination form within 48 hours of being nominated, and during the nomination period, the student can be promoted to the highest desire when seats are available, and students must only upload a 4 * 6 color personal photo with a white background.

As for female students, they will be admitted directly in one batch to facilitate the admission procedures and take into account the student's privacy in ensuring that she obtains a seat at the university.

His Excellency explained that the screening process for all male and female applicants for admission to the university will be done according to two criteria

The first criterion: The weighted ratio is calculated as follows:

(GPA x 0.30) + (General Aptitude Test score x 0.30) + (Attainment Test score x 0.40), which is a special condition for admission:

First: All female students wishing to enroll in the university.

Secondly: Students wishing to enroll in the preparatory year and scientific departments in the Colleges of Science and Arts, and the College of Agriculture.

The second criterion is the equivalent ratio, which is calculated as follows:

(GPA x 0.50) + (General Aptitude Test score x 0.50)

It is a requirement for admission for students applying to all colleges except for the preparatory year and scientific departments in the faculties of science and arts and the College of Agriculture.

Dr. Al-Ahmad added that the screening process will be automated in order to achieve equality in the admission process and to ensure the achievement of the principle of justice that the university has taken upon itself, adding that the university has opened this year a number of departments in some colleges and headquarters, as admission will be available this year on scientific disciplines directly in the College of Science and scientific departments in the Colleges of Science and Arts in the governorates, and this year, admission in the history major for students in the College of Arabic Language and Social Studies will be re-admitted, as well as admission for boys in the College of Shari'ah for the Shari'ah major in the Unaiza campus, and also admission is available for boys in the College of Shari'ah.

Dr. Al-Ahmad concluded his statement by thanking the university administration for its efforts and support for the Deanship of Admission and Registration to carry out its tasks to the fullest, headed by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, who followed up the admission file from the first moment he took over the university administration, where the admission file was one of the first files that he asked about and received his follow-up and guidance.

The Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Fahad Al-Ahmad, also expressed his thanks to His Excellency the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Khalaf Al-Saif, for his keenness and follow-up of the admission file at the university and all the honorable vice presidents and his colleagues in the Deanship of Admission and Registration, praying to Allah to grant success to all male and female students in their new university stage to reach a bright future that achieves their ambitions and aspirations in serving their religion and their homeland.

It is noteworthy that the University Council approved about 16,000 seats in 38 colleges spread in the capital and governorates of the Qassim region.
