Many of the Saudi students were seen wearing the Saudi ghutra or shemagh with the authentic Saudi aqal and bisht. The glittering pavilions were present during the Peoples' Cultural Heritage Festival, which took place in the brightly lit and roofed halls of Qassim University.
Students from more than 90 countries participated in the activities of the Peoples' Heritage Festival in Qassim, where participants wore the Saudi tunic or shemagh with the Saudi aqal and bisht, and wandered through the halls decorated with pictures, textiles and the logo of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, learning about artworks and handcrafted industries to achieve their goals.
The People's Heritage Festival, organized by Qassim University, is being attended by conference guests from more than ninety countries. Participants wander through various pavilions adorned with colorful heritage decorations, where students stand out by wearing the Ghutra or Shemagh with the authentic Saudi Aqal and Bisht, amidst a strong sense of pride in the national identity. The hall is also decorated with banners and slogans in Arabic, reflecting the principles of the university's authentic cultural spirit.
A large crowd gathered to watch a group of performers perform a dance show on stage as part of the "People's Heritage Festival", which is being held in a closed hall in Qassim. A number of the team members were adorned in shemagh and aqal, and the participant wore the Saudi bisht, showcasing the features of the authentic national heritage. This cultural creativity comes in conjunction with the display of paintings, introductions and pavilions of students representing 90 different countries, in a cultural and cultural community and the spirit of coexistence and openness at the university.
During the Peoples' Heritage Festival at Qassim University, four men wearing the Saudi ghatta, or shemagh with the Saudi aqal and bisht, performed a folk dance using wood in the theater amid a crowd of people representing 90 countries, groping behind the all-red barriers inside the closed hall.

The university launched the "Peoples" Heritage" festival on Friday, February 9, 2024. The festival was attended by the university's international students, representing over 90 countries, and was sponsored by His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region. The event took place at the Al-Qassim International Convention and Exhibition Center in the city of Buraidah.

 

The six-day festival includes many events, exhibitions, competitions, and performances by international students. The exhibition stands showcase the most prominent cultural features and heritage of the participating countries, including their traditional clothing, artifacts, popular dishes, and their unique handcrafted textiles and industrial products. Additionally, they feature photos, information, historical and natural landmarks of each country, as well as folkloric shows, handicrafts, and other rare items specific to each nation.

 

The university is holding this festival with the aim of enriching cultural and civilizational diversity and getting to know the customs and heritage of peoples up close through its international students, who number more than 5,000 international students.

 

It is noted that this festival comes as part of a series of community programs and events organized by the university annually, which aim to increase intellectual and cultural awareness among all segments of society.
