University launches People's Heritage Festival with students from 90 countries

On Friday, February 9, 2024, the university launched the "Heritage of Peoples" festival, with the participation of the university's international students representing more than 90 countries, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, at the Qassim International Conference and Exhibition Center in Buraydah.

 

The six-day festival includes many events, exhibitions, competitions and performances by international students. The exhibition pavilions present the most prominent cultural features and heritage of the countries, including clothing, artifacts, folk foods, handicrafts and textiles, in addition to photos, information, historical and natural landmarks of each country, as well as folkloric performances, handicrafts and other rarities of each country.

 

The university holds this festival with the aim of enriching cultural and civilizational diversity and learning about the customs and heritage of peoples through its international students, who number more than 5,000 international students.

 

It is noteworthy that this festival comes as part of a series of community programs and events held annually by the university, which aim to increase intellectual and cultural awareness among all segments of society.
