On Thursday, November 10, 2022, the UQU College of Nursing concluded its participation in the fifth Saudi Simulation Conference 2022, which lasted for five days in Riyadh under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Health. The college's participation included a review of the university's efforts and the most prominent works and achievements of the college, and a comprehensive introduction to the educational and research services it provides to students and researchers.
The college's exhibition at the conference included a review of a number of innovations and inventions by female students and graduates of the college, where internship student Sarah Abdulrahman Al-Jubailan presented an innovation that aims to use BCI technology to improve communication with people with severe intellectual disability, which contributes to improving the health and psychological condition and follow-up continuously in a short time and with high efficiency.
The college also showcased the innovation of graduate Wijdan Abdulrahman Al-Hamili, who aimed to invent a smart thermometer bracelet that helps in the early detection of high temperature for a child and thus protect him from deteriorating his condition or the occurrence of complications such as convulsions, with an explanation of the importance of these inventions to the visitors of the conference and the way they work, as the college pavilion was popular with researchers and those interested in the field of simulation and inventions.
