Qassim University joins the Saudi Unified Catalog "Indexes" King Fahd National Library

Qassim University, represented by the Deanship of Library Affairs, signed its membership of the Saudi Unified Catalog "Fahars" with King Fahd National Library on Thursday, 19/2/1444 AH, at the library's headquarters in Riyadh, in the presence of His Excellency the University Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality, Prof. Khaled Bani Al-Harbi, and His Excellency the Acting Secretary General of the library, Mr. Sulaiman Yousif Al-Masoud.

 

The membership agreement was signed by the University's Director of Library Affairs, Mr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Muhaimid, and the General Manager of the Saudi Unified Catalog, Mr. Othman bin Mohammed Al-Asmari, as part of the university's efforts to develop the work system within the libraries and the services they provide to students.

 

The King Fahd National Library aims that the Saudi Unified Catalog "Fahares" will contribute to the qualification of various libraries and information institutions within the Kingdom, and develop the human resources of these libraries through the preparation and development of training, qualification and supervision programs, in order to enhance the Kingdom's effective contribution to international bibliographic projects and information organization, which is one of the most important programs in developing and serving Saudi libraries and information centers of all kinds, as it provides its services to all member beneficiaries.
