His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Qassim Region, patronized on Wednesday morning, 17/10/1443 AH, the "Innovator 2022 Exhibition", organized by Qassim University in the main lobby of the University City, in the presence of HE Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, and a number of directors of government agencies in the region, vice presidents and members of the University Council.
During his opening of the exhibition, His Highness toured the various corners that contain participants from 13 entities and 134 innovations, whose innovations and ideas can be transformed into products with economic and developmental returns, praising the efforts of innovative students under the dome of the university. His Highness also honored the champions of the Saudi Science and Engineering Team, who attended the opening of the exhibition based on an invitation to attend the exhibition activities from the Qassim University administration for achieving 16 major international awards at ISF 2022.
His Highness the Emir of Qassim emphasized that male and female innovators represent one of the edifices of this country and our pride and always raise the heads of the country and the Arab and Islamic world. His Highness also congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince - may Allah protect them - on this great achievement "ISF", which we saw a few days ago and what the students of the Kingdom obtained, indicating that this occasion coincides with this achievement to confirm that the bet on which this country has been based in education since the era of the founding king - may Allah bless him and his descendants - has been successful.His Highness pointed out that there are many who do not know that expeditions started from the days of the founder to the Kingdom and to advanced countries until we reached this achievement years later.
His Highness added that Qassim University kept pace with the event with this exhibition, and the university embraces all educational entities in such exhibitions, suggesting that the Qassim Scientific Center in Unaiza Governorate should have a permanent exhibition for inventors, inventors, innovators and innovators to highlight all the work done by the sons and daughters of the country in general and the region in particular and those inventions for every visitor. His Highness stressed that the center has become a tourist destination and for those who want to see the country's development, and will be a scientific and civilizational interface for everyone to see the creations of inventors and inventors from the country's sons and daughters, congratulating His Highness the President of the University and its employees for the efforts made in this distinguished exhibition.
His Highness also honored the participating entities in the exhibition, namely: Future University, Buraidah Community Colleges, Unaiza Community Colleges, the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training in Qassim, the King Abdulaziz and his men for Talent and Creativity, in addition to the Qassim Education Department, Unaiza Education Department, Madhanib Education Department, Bakiriyah Education Department, Qassim Science Center, and a number of innovators who won local and international awards at the university during 2020 to 2022, in addition to honoring the youngest innovator who participated in the exhibition.
For his part, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, praised the support of the wise leadership, which has spared no effort in supporting innovation and innovators, pumping more innovative projects into the national economy to achieve sustainable development, and empowering distinguished innovators and talented people in scientific and technical fields, pointing out that this exhibition is one of the university's initiatives to spread the culture of innovation, discover innovators in the region, enhance talent and refine expertise and creativity, in accordance with the pillars of the Human Capacity Development Program, through
Al-Dawood added that this exhibition represents the harvest stage of a continuous effort that lasted for more than eight months, in which the university targeted more than eleven educational sectors in the region and culminated with the expertise and support of institutions concerned in this field in the country, such as the King Abdulaziz and Men of Talent and Creativity Foundation and the Saudi Intellectual Property Authority: King Abdulaziz and Men Foundation for Talent and Creativity and the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property. He pointed out that the number of submitted innovations amounted to 320 innovations, and the number of innovators exceeded 938 male and female innovators, and 134 innovations were approved after evaluation and differentiation among them.
The university president emphasized that the continuous support the university receives from our wise government, the follow-up of His Highness the Emir of the region, and the efforts of colleagues and students have had a great impact on the university's recent achievement of a number of awards and advanced positions locally and internationally, most notably its ranking in innovation to 426 in the world according to the Skimago ranking, winning two medals in the Geneva Innovation Showcase, winning the first place in the University Innovation Challenge at the level of Saudi public and private universities, qualifying to participate in the Babson College program in the United States of America for business management, and winning a number of projects in the University Innovation Challenge. He congratulated them on this occasion and congratulated our wise government, our dear country and these heroes for this global achievement, and welcomed them as permanent members of the university. He also thanked His Highness the Emir of the region for honoring the exhibition and encouraging innovators and talented people, and thanked the participants from all educational and training authorities and the organizers of the exhibition, wishing everyone continued success and creativity.
This exhibition aims to achieve the Ministry of Education's targets for the year 2022 by promoting talent, innovation, expertise and creativity, keeping pace with the national trends according to the Kingdom's Vision 2030, as well as the aspirations of the Ministry of Education, and highlighting the pioneering role of the university in disseminating knowledge and enabling innovation, in addition to promoting basic and future skills in line with the pillars of the Human Capacity Development Program, and encouraging male and female students to highlight their scientific innovations. It prepares male and female students to participate in competing in national communication forums, and provides an opportunity to recognize creative and innovative people in the Qassim region.
The exhibition also includes a number of enrichment programs and workshops for gifted and innovative people on the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in developing and supporting talents and innovations and the role of innovators towards their country. The exhibition also includes an advisory corner to provide quality consultations in the field of talent and innovation, in addition to reviewing the experiences of innovators by holding dialogue sessions in which innovators from several fields meet to present their experiences and expertise
