The University, represented by the Center for Innovation and Intellectual Property, achieved first place at the level of Saudi universities in the final stage of the "University Innovation Challenge" competition, held by the Prince Mohammed bin Salman College of Management and Entrepreneurship, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, in King Abdullah Economic City during the period from 24-26/3/2022.
The university participated in the competition through a project entitled "An Innovative Mechanism for Sustainable Extraction of Water from Air", which is one of the qualitative projects of the College of Engineering in Unaiza Governorate, where the project qualified for Babson College in the United States of America.
His Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdulrahman Ibrahim Al-Attiyah, who supervised the project, said that the innovation aims to achieve most of the sustainable development goals and the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 for Sustainability and the university's strategic plan, offering thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the university, for his support and diligent follow-up to reach the top and achieve first place in the first edition and quality of the challenge.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman College of Management and Entrepreneurship, through its adoption of this competition, seeks to create young Saudi entrepreneurs, leaders and administrators who aspire to develop innovative solutions to achieve development goals and address the challenges faced by their communities, in order to consolidate the college's position as a key component in the Saudi entrepreneurship sector and a strong partner for entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
