Minister of Education sponsors the university forum to celebrate Teacher's Day under the slogan "Teach Us"

His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, praised the great efforts made by male and female teachers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the coronavirus pandemic: "You were up to the level of trust and responsibility, and you performed your work with sincerity and dedication, worked diligently and perseveringly, and did your best to continue the educational journey without stopping, and together we overcame all difficult circumstances in response to the trust and realization of the state's plans to deal with the pandemic with awareness and competence, instilling in male and female students love and pride in the country and loyalty to its wise leadership, so you have my sincere and sincere thanks. 

 

This came during the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education on Tuesday, 28/2/1443 A.H., of the two-day Teacher's Day Forum organized by Qassim University, under the title "Educate Us", where His Excellency expressed his appreciation for the role of teachers, saying: It gives me great pleasure to share with you this forum, which celebrates the teacher on his international day under the slogan "The teacher is the beating heart of education", which carries the meanings of loyalty and appreciation to my colleagues who devote their efforts to building and developing the capabilities of the sons and daughters of this country.

 

He added: I take advantage of this occasion on World Teachers' Day to address teachers and teachers with greetings and appreciation, and tell them that we in our dear homeland recall your lofty mission and your great efforts that you exert for the sake of science, knowledge, progress and participation in the development of society under a wise leadership that has done everything to make the Kingdom an entity and a human being stand in the first row with the developed countries of the world to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which draws the horizons of a bright future for our dear Kingdom. 

 

His Excellency the Minister of Education emphasized that the indicators of the importance of this forum come from the fact that it reviews topics that address the latest developments in education, in addition to enriching teachers with academic, professional and scientific competencies, and providing an opportunity for researchers and graduate students to review their research and scientific ideas that highlight the role of teachers in society, pointing out that such forums will contribute to creating a scientific space that enables professors and academic departments to discuss the scientific issues raised effectively that reflect the great attention paid by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may God protect him, and His Royal Highness Mr. Salman bin Abdulaziz.

 

His Excellency urged male and female students to give thanks and appreciation to teachers and adhere to the values of loyalty and respect for them and appreciate what they do for them. He thanked Qassim University for this initiative and hoped that the papers of this forum will be fruitful and its recommendations successful, touching the reality and providing sound solutions and elevating the teacher's mission to broad horizons of developing learning processes, wishing everyone success and success. 

 

For his part, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, welcomed His Excellency the Minister of Education, Their Excellencies and Excellencies present at their university, Qassim University, expressing his thanks to His Excellency for responding to the invitation to attend and participate in this celebration on the occasion of World Teachers' Day, which falls on October 5 of each year.

 

Al-Dawood said: Our country faced great challenges in the midst of the Corona pandemic, but our wise government, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, may God protect them, drew precise plans to overcome them, and succeeded, praise be to God, in implementing them, and among those who faced these challenges are male and female teachers, as they proved their commitment to maintain the continuity of the educational process despite all the difficulties. With their efforts, teachers were able to draw a new profile of the future of education in our country and contribute to the formation of a successful and effective educational environment, through the capabilities and equipment provided by the Ministry, which had a clear impact on the success of the educational process as planned.

 

Al-Dawood explained that the university has sensed the great role played by the teacher in serving science and knowledge, and the magnitude of the challenge he faces, especially in light of this pandemic, and took the initiative to celebrate him on his day in recognition and appreciation of his status and noble mission, recalling what teachers have done for us in the past and what they are doing for our children today, to send them a message of thanks and appreciation, and to contribute to overcoming the challenges they face so that they can practice their noble profession with ease and ease.

 

He pointed out that Qassim University - as it celebrates the teacher today - encourages the exchange of academic, professional and scientific experiences among all elements of the educational system. The university will launch a number of workshops that open a wide field for participants and guests to contribute their opinions and experiences. It will also hold a virtual scientific exhibition that reviews the latest scientific research in the field of teaching and learning, thanking the participants and those who organized this forum for their efforts, especially the University Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs, the College of Education, the Deanship of Information Technology and the General Administration of Media and Communication.

 

Over the course of two days, the "Educate Us" forum will hold a series of workshops presented by the academic departments of the College of Education on topics related to the role of the teacher in the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as on a number of topics and titles, including: From traditional PowerPoint presentations to the most distinctive and enjoyable interactive presentations, the ethical component in the teaching profession (a philosophical vision), contemporary ideas that enrich the art education course using the Risen compound, and how to teach it remotely.

 

Topics to be discussed in the workshops include the remote physical education lesson (solutions and proposals), the teacher researcher in light of the crises, building a safe and supportive learning environment for learning for people with disabilities, preparing and motivating education for primary grade students after the Corona pandemic, teacher roles in the comprehensive construction of learners in the 21st century, and the role model teacher.
