His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, affirmed that this blessed country has always taken care and attention to the Holy Quran, making it a curriculum and constitution from which it derives its systems and principles on which it is based, as explained in the Basic Law of Governance, and based on its religious and national duty.
This came during his statement on the occasion of the launch of the final qualifiers of the King Salman bin Abdulaziz local competition for memorizing, reciting and interpreting the Holy Quran for boys and girls, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in its 22nd session virtually in accordance with the precautionary measures to prevent the Coronavirus.
His Excellency added: The Kingdom encourages interest in the Holy Quran, whether in terms of establishing institutions that support the printing of the Holy Quran, translating its meanings and distributing it around the world, or in terms of supporting studies, departments and specialized scientific chairs in universities, or in terms of implementing competitions and competitions to obtain valuable incentive prizes, explaining that this has been and still is its approach since the era of the founder King Abdulaziz - may Allah have mercy on him - to the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may Allah protect him, and this Qur'anic competition that encourages boys and girls to compete among the holders of the Holy Quran is an additional witness to Ghi
His Excellency explained that motivating people to pay attention to the Holy Quran is a kind of religious, cognitive and behavioral investment that will reflect on the contestants themselves and their community when the morals of the Quran are common among them and they work with it as a belief, behavior and life approach that makes them live a successful and reassuring life, representing the moderate and moderate Islam that is the approach of this blessed country.
He concluded his statement by thanking the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance for their commendable efforts in serving the Book of Allah and their continuation of the competition, which has reached its twenty-second edition, and organizing it in the best way, asking Allah to reward the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince for their support and encouragement, and praying to Allah Almighty to protect our country from every evil and plot, and that the competition achieves its objectives in the best way with success and excellence.
