In a humanitarian gesture, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of Qassim University, honored faculty member Dr. Walid Abdulbaqi, may Allah have mercy on him, the former supervisor of the student club at the College of Arabic Language and Social Studies, who passed away after a struggle with illness, and had many outstanding contributions to the events and activities that the student club at the college used to hold throughout the year. His sons, Khalid and Baraa, received the honor shield during the annual ceremony for student activities, held yesterday, Wednesday, 14/6/1442H, at the main lobby of the university city, at the Deanship of Student Affairs.
Dr. Walid Muhammad Abdul-Baqi Abdul-Ati, from the Arab Republic of Egypt, joined the College of Arabic Language and Social Studies at Al-Qassim University as an assistant professor of grammar and morphology from the academic year 1434-1435 AH, until the date of his death on 23-4-1442 AH. He also worked as a faculty member at the Non-Native Speakers Unit of the Arabic Language Department. He has many published works, has completed the complete memorization of the Holy Quran, and has many participations inside and outside Al-Qassim University.
For their part, the family of Dr. Walid Abdul-Baqi expressed their thanks and gratitude to the UQU President, the Dean of Student Affairs, and all university affiliates for this blessed gesture and this great honor for their father, stressing that this generous ceremony has the greatest good effect on his children, family, brothers, and lovers, offering thanks, appreciation, and gratitude for this humanitarian gesture.
