His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, remotely signed a joint cooperation agreement today, Monday, May 6, 1442 AH, with the Director General of the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), Mr. Turki bin Abdullah Al-Juwaini. The agreement aims to support the employment of university graduates and expected graduates through the Fund. This agreement is part of HRDF's initiative within the program to support university graduate employment offices.
The fund provides incentives and financial and training support to the university's careers office under this agreement, which was signed virtually in the VIP Hall in the main lobby of the university city, in the presence of the Vice President of the University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saoui, the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Turki, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Adheeb, the Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality, Professor Dr. Khalid Al-Harbi, the Director of Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) branch in Al-Qassim region, Mr. Mohammed Al-Nahabi, and the supervisor of the Career and Professional Development Office, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Turki.
The University Employment Office seeks to support the employment of university graduates, both current and soon-to-be graduates, with the aim of increasing their competitiveness in the labor market and raising employment rates. Under this agreement, the Fund will provide support and training to the University Employment Office and its staff, and will utilize the Fund's programs provided for the training and employment of national labor. These programs include: the “Sabla” e-platform for career education and guidance services, the “Droob” e-training platform, the “Tamheer” on-the-job training program, the National Labor Gateway “Taqat” to serve job seekers and employers, and the Professional Certificates and Summer Programs.
The new agreement contributes to improving graduate employment performance and prepares them for labor market needs. The university will also provide preparation and qualification services for graduates in response to labor market needs, prepare them for personal interviews, review and market their resumes to obtain jobs, and provide quality training that serves graduates seeking employment.
