UQU President Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamoudi and Qassim Governor Eng. Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Ahmad drew the features of a cooperation agreement between the university and the Secretariat in several fields in order to develop and exchange experiences between the two entities in order to activate cooperation between government sectors.

The first steps of cooperation between the two sides began with the formation of a team composed of the university and the Municipality to study the development of the university's suburb in a manner befitting the importance of the area surrounding the university in Buraydah, which, in addition to the university city, includes Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport, the National Guard and the Aramco station, which emphasizes the importance of accelerating the process of studying the mechanisms of its development.

The mechanism of cooperation between the two organizations will also extend to everything that contributes to supporting their journey of study and development in order to serve them and the region in general.

His Excellency the UQU President emphasized that the cooperation between the university and the Municipality is not new, as the level of interaction between the two parties has reached a high degree since the establishment of the university, pointing to the university's permanent interaction with the events and events of the Municipality and active participation in them, such as the date, spring and summer festivals, and in return the Municipality has spared no effort to support the expansion of the university by allocating suitable lands to establish the facilities of the university colleges in Buraydah and all governorates and centers of the region, stressing that the cooperation agreement comes as an extension of this positive harmony that unites the university and the Municipality, and to develop it through field studies.

He pointed out that the cooperation agreement would exchange experiences and expand the horizons of interaction between the two parties. He expressed his happiness with the development plans he saw at the university that keep pace with the aspirations and support of the wise leadership and are in line with the aspirations of the people of the region and the country in general. The Secretary had visited the UQU President in the presence of his vice presidents, accompanied by the vice presidents and directors of some departments who also visited the Projects and Maintenance Department at the university and were briefed on the work mechanism, during which they listened to a detailed explanation provided by the Director of the General Administration of Projects and Maintenance, Engineer Sulaiman bin Saleh Al-Faridi and his assistant, Engineer Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Ruqeeba, and the project management team.
