Engineer Abdulaziz Al Saqeer, President of STC, emphasized that the Kingdom in general is proud to hold this international conference, which is held for the first time in the Kingdom, where it witnesses a global presence, pointing out that Qassim University represented by the College of Management and Economics succeeded in attracting giants from different countries in this unique conference, which is a success that records the university and has the right to be proud and proud of it.
Engineer Al Saqeer presented a paper in the main session of the conference in which he talked about The role of local telecommunications companies in the knowledge economy and the growing information revolution The role of STC in incubating the infrastructure for startups to reach a knowledge society and providing the necessary infrastructure to support government and private organizations to develop EcoSystem tools that contribute to building a knowledge society based on innovation.
His Excellency the President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Dr. Mohammed Al-Suwail, also reviewed in a strategic lecture the experience of local innovation systems under the umbrella of EcoSystems and comparing Saudi Arabia's position with other countries in the world in terms of innovation .
Dr. Mohammed Al-Obayeb, Secretary of the conference, stressed that hosting this conference in its sixth session is an addition to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general and Qassim University in particular, as it is considered the first conference at the level of the Kingdom in the field of EcoSystems, and the conference was characterized by keynote speakers from a number of prestigious international universities and the diversity of scientific contributions from a number of countries of the world.
He also pointed out that the women's working papers submitted by the participants from Saudi universities are distinguished and this confirms the role of women in contributing to building a knowledge society based on innovation.
It is noteworthy that the conference continues with 3 workshops today entitled Networks, Cloud Computing, Encryption and Information Privacy.
