The Vice President of Qassim University, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Omar, confirmed that the university is working according to an ambitious plan that includes two tracks regarding women's colleges in the cities and governorates of the region, one of which is the most important is the establishment of university cities and suburbs in which work has begun in Buraydah, Uneizah, Al-Rass, Al-Bukairiyah, Al-Madhanib, Walbada'a, Aqlah Al-Suqur, Nabhaniyah and Diriyah, and the other an urgent project to restore the current headquarters of the women's colleges, He pointed out that the work is in full swing as the restoration work has been completed in some colleges and a few remain, God willing, stressing that the university, under the leadership of its President, fully believes in the importance of creating an ideal atmosphere for science and learning for its students, especially in light of the great support that Qassim University and universities in general receive from the wise leadership, in addition to the interaction and interest of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and his Deputy with everything that would promote university education in the region.
The Director of the General Administration of Projects and Maintenance, Engineer Sulaiman bin Saleh Al-Faridi, met with the contractor of the project and stressed the importance of completing the restoration work of the college during the Eid Al-Adha vacation at the latest, appreciating the demands of the college students and emphasizing that the university is doing everything possible to achieve the aspirations of its male and female students.
Dr. Al-Omar visited the college as part of his follow-up and field visits to university projects, whether new constructions or renovations, where he stressed on the Projects Department and the project contractor to do everything possible to prepare the college, directing to overcome all obstacles facing the contractor and follow up his time plan to finish his work.
It should be noted that the renovation work includes (air conditioning, restrooms, paints, ceilings, safety devices, floors, and yards), and work has started since last Shaaban, and work is still ongoing in some colleges that need comprehensive maintenance.
