The General Supervisor of the General Administration of Media and Communication at the University, Mr. Fahad bin Noumah, stressed the need for a person to determine the nature of the media message that he wants to present through any media or social networking sites, and what content he wants to present to the audience and distinguish it from others and achieve his goals through it, pointing out that the individual must choose the best and most appropriate medium for his content in order to reach his audience and achieve his goals.

During his presentation of the course "Skills of Dealing with the Media" as part of the training program to prepare new faculty members at the university, which concluded on Thursday, he pointed out the importance of being careful to select the media message to be delivered well, in addition to the optimal handling of each social media according to its nature, so that excessive spontaneity does not lead us to some negative things and reflect negatively on our presentation, so we must deal with the media in the best way. 

He spoke about the skills of dealing with the media, the peak of the arrival of social media programs, and the evolution of their concept, stressing that digital media has become a platform for effective communication with the public.

During the course, he discussed the electronic publishing policies of the university platform, as it is the platform that brings together all accounts representing the university on social media sites, noting that it is an official platform that operates under the supervision and organization of the General Administration of Information and Communication according to specific publishing controls and policies that must be adhered to by all parties and by those working on these accounts, in addition to introducing the General Administration of Information and Communication and its tasks, services, and platforms in social media programs, as well as the university's publishing policies, which aim to organize the publishing mechanism in line with the university's general media policy and objectives He also reviewed a number of prohibitions that should be avoided and how to deal with media crises. At the end of the course, the door for discussion was opened and questions from the academic staff members about the media mechanisms followed were answered.

The training program for new faculty members, which was attended by 74 faculty members of both sexes, aims to provide them with the most important programs and skills that help them plan and design various educational situations during the performance of their duties, including ways to provide new faculty members with the necessary skills to deal with different media outlets.
