The University, represented by the Leadership and Capacity Development Center, announced the establishment of a number of online training programs for university employees, as part of the center's initiative entitled "Developing Your Skills", through which it offers several training courses, where these training programs are carefully selected through interaction between trainers and participants during sessions to suit everyone's interests and specialties.
E-training programs are a good alternative to traditional training, especially in light of the precautionary measures to prevent the coronavirus, as there are various options for the trainee to suit his desires with the possibility of obtaining accredited courses.
Registration in these programs is available after the announcement of their establishment, via the Leadership and Capacity Development Center website, with a minimum of 15 male and female trainees for the course, and a maximum of 70 male and female trainees, male and female employees only, and the trainee is only entitled to register in two of these training programs during the summer period, provided that the courses are offered online through Blackboard Collaborate, Zoom, or one of the systems approved by the university The courses are available for faculty members and employees of both sexes (men and women) and may be shared according to the registered numbers. The trainee who is accepted will be provided with the link to the courses or the entry mechanism after the registration is completed, after the registration is approved for each program.
For his part, Dr. Muneea Al-Muneea, General Supervisor of the Leadership and Capacity Development Center, explained that the center aims to spread the culture of remote e-training to a larger number of interested parties without the need for their physical presence at the center's training headquarters, as well as employing modern technologies to complete the training process, during which the affiliates of faculty members, male and female employees are targeted, indicating that the trainee will be awarded a certificate (accredited) from the center in the subject of the course, as the courses will be broadcast during the summer period according to the dates displayed on the center's website, from 12:30 pm to 3:00 am and the dates displayed on the center's website.
He explained that the center has set specific controls that the trainee must adhere to in order to be granted a certificate of attendance for the course, as he or she must commit to attending ten minutes before the start of the workshop, and the attendance rate for the training program must not be less than 90% of the total hours of the program, indicating that attendance and departure will be observed and exclude trainees who are not committed to the program hours by adjusting the settings of the virtual session assigned to each program, and the course will be delivered so that there is interaction between the trainer and trainees through audio and video as needed and screen sharing.
He added that the Center has the right to apply appropriate procedures to apply its training policies through pre and post evaluations for each training program and to document attendance during the training program, as well as the obligation to carry out any costs or tasks required of the trainee during the course or after its completion as a prerequisite for passing the training program, stressing that the trainee will receive a certificate of attendance approved by the Leadership and Capacity Development Center after attending the program and interacting with it in the required manner according to the schedule for each program.
