The university, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with King Fahd Specialist Hospital, is holding a 4-day blood donation campaign at the dormitory headquarters in the university city, as part of the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim, and the number of donors in the first two days of the campaign reached 70 donors, to meet the blood needs of hospitals in the region in light of the precautionary measures taken to face the Coronavirus.
For his part, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ajlan, explained that this participation, which started last Wednesday and ends today, comes out of the university's national and community role, as the university is keen to participate in such initiatives and campaigns to serve the people of the region and contribute to supporting the health facilities in the region.
Al-Ajlan added that the blood donation process is carried out by a team of doctors and specialists, as it starts by going to the pre-donation screening stage, giving the donor a donation questionnaire, then going to the donor's screening area by the specialized doctor, checking the donor's temperature and ensuring his safety, then going to the donation stage, and then moving to the post-donation stage and giving him some educational instructions and guidelines.
