UQU launches its virtual clinics through the "Consult Your Doctor from the comfort of your home" initiative

The University, represented by the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences in Aniza, announced the launch of a new initiative to provide voluntary virtual clinics by a number of faculty members from various medical specialties under the slogan "Consult your doctor at home", starting from today, Sunday, 26/8/1441 A.H., with the participation of a number of specialists in the college, to provide medical consultations to people in their homes without the need to leave the house to help limit the spread of the Coronavirus.

 

For his part, the supervisor of the clinic, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Qunaybet, Head of the Department of Surgery at the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences in Onaiza, explained that the college aims to serve the community, university students, faculty members and employees, as a number of doctors from the college participate in the initiative in various specialties, with the aim of helping the community and facilitating access to medical consultations without having to go to the hospital, treating cases that do not require going to the hospital, and dispensing medicines through the "Anah" program established by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the Health Practitioners Authority for health practitioners.

 

Al-Qunait added that this program means providing electronic prescriptions to be dispensed from a number of pharmacies approved by the Ministry of Health, and the use of these clinics will be coordinated through administrative and medical coordination, in cooperation with internship doctors, to evaluate cases and prioritize those with urgent cases, and give those who do not need to enter the clinic medical information, and provide them with it through internship students under medical supervision, as it will be implemented during the month of Ramadan.
