The 12th edition of the Achievement Level Measurement Test, designed and supervised by the College of Medicine, kicks off

The 12th edition of the Achievement Level Measurement Test, designed and supervised by the College of Medicine, kicks off

On Wednesday morning, 9/7/1441 A.H., the College of Medicine at the University organized the 12th edition of the Achievement Level Measurement Test, which targets medical students in 22 public and private medical colleges across the Kingdom, at the same time with the participation of more than 9000 male and female students from different academic years, as this test helps to monitor their academic progress and follow the development of individual learning paths for each student separately.

The Faculty of Medicine at the university designs the test, which is held annually at the headquarters of the participating colleges at the same time. The faculty also performs the procedures of marking the test, preparing the results, analyzing them, sending them to the participating colleges, and announcing the results through the Internet, where each of the students participating in the test can see the evaluation of their performance in each part of the test.

For his part, Dr. Humaidan Al-Hamidan, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Educational Affairs, explained that since its inception, the College of Medicine at the university has been interested in providing the best and latest levels of medical education, believing in its responsibility towards the community and seeking to contribute to the development and promotion of medical education at the level of medical colleges in the Kingdom, pointing out that the college has reviewed the evaluation criteria in this test to be in line with what has been approved by the Committee of Deans of Medical Colleges in the Kingdom and to comply with the new map of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties test.

Al-Humaidan pointed out that this test aims to focus on long-term knowledge and enable students to use and apply what they have learned during their academic career, and measure the development of their understanding of the end-of-program objectives, as all students of participating medical colleges at the level of the Kingdom apply for the same test, at all stages of their studies, noting that this test provides the opportunity for participating colleges to compare the results of their students with their peers in the corresponding years, which contributes to the objective evaluation of the end-of-program objectives of medical schools and the annual progress to achieve the objectives of the program and the efficiency of its application.

It is worth mentioning that the College of Medicine at Qassim University has been the initiator of the test since its first edition until now, as this test has witnessed the participation of about 42500 students from most medical colleges in the Kingdom, and other universities from outside the country's borders, such as the UAE, Jordan and others, have applied to participate in this test, and coordination is underway to complete this in the future.
