His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, affirmed that the Holy Quran receives great care in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as it provides great support for Quran memorization associations, Islamic centers, and Quran memorization classes whether in the Two Holy Mosques or in other mosques throughout the Kingdom, which is a cause for pride and pride and reassurance, noting that there is no country in the world that drops a prisoner's sentence if he memorizes parts of the Holy Quran as is the case in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During his patronage of the closing ceremony of the "Faisal bin Mishaal Award for Memorizing the Holy Quran", organized by the University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, on Wednesday, 11/6/1441 AH, at the main lobby of the University City, His Highness expressed his pride and pride in contributing to the graduation of memorizers of the Book of Allah, stressing that calling his name on this award is a great honor, especially since it is a competition for the Book of Allah, the Almighty.
HH the Emir of Qassim said: "We are the ones who are honored to attend the graduation ceremonies for the memorization of the Book of Allah, and we are not the ones who honor it, but we are the ones who are honored to attend any order for the Book of Allah, and praise be to Allah for making us one of those who help and encourage the memorization of the Book of Allah, how can we not follow this book and govern our judiciary and our approach, and this book is the constitution and approach of this country, and it is By the grace of God, it is preserved in the chests through the establishment of Quran memorization circles and associations, and in the lines also by what the King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Quran has been offering for years in Medina, and the establishment of Quran memorization competitions is an honor for this country, and we ask God Almighty to make it our methodology until the Day of Judgment."
His Highness extended his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, the university's vice presidents and employees, and to Dr. Othman Taha, who wrote the Holy Quran more than 10 times and attended the closing ceremony of the competition, praying to Allah that his hand will not touch the fire. He also thanked all those who participated in this competition, praying to Allah that such a curriculum will be in all universities in the Kingdom, pointing out that the university's introduction of a prize for memorizing the Quran is a great principle and great encouragement for memorizing the Book of Allah, saying: When we learn the Qur'an, its sciences, recitation and interpretation, and deepen it in the hearts of our sons and daughters, we are grasping all sciences with the handle of the sword, which is the legitimate science."
For his part, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Award, thanked His Highness the Emir of the region for accepting to name his name on this award, in which more than 3500 participants participated, asking Allah Almighty to make it in the balance of the good deeds done by His Highness, which are difficult to count, and his care for the university's educational and research activities and events, and community service programs, adding that this continuous support and encouragement is not surprising and I hope to be in good faith with my colleagues who work tirelessly as a team.
Al-Dawood pointed out that the university has achieved a number of awards and advanced ranks in all fields, and offers this competition as a model of the care that this country, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, may Allah protect them, provides for the recitation, memorization and reflection of the Book of Allah.
UQU President said: We thank Allah for making this country since its inception and establishment by His Majesty King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman - may Allah bless him - and those who followed him from his sons, until our prosperous era, the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, which pays great attention to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace and blessings, so congratulations to us in this country and this leadership, and congratulations to His Highness the Emir of Qassim, who gives all attention and care to memorizing the Book of Allah and encouraging those in charge of it.
Al-Dawood also thanked all the colleagues in charge of the competition, which lasted for months, and were working hard to reach what it has reached now, in front of such a large number in all branches of the competition, as well as the Deanship of Student Affairs for organizing it, represented by its dean, Dr. Ali Al-Aqlaa, and extended his thanks and congratulations He then thanked them for their participation and interaction with this competition, asking Allah Almighty to preserve this country and its leadership, to perpetuate security and safety, and to succeed all those who sought to encourage and support the memorization of the Book of Allah Almighty.
The total prizes of the competition amounted to more than half a million riyals distributed to 43 winners out of 3,400 male and female contestants from 45 different nationalities who participated in all stages of the competition, which was judged by 16 male and female arbitrators, in the spirit of caring for the Holy Quran and its memorization, and encouraging them to continue and persevere in learning and memorizing the Quran.
At the beginning of his patronage of the ceremony, H.H. the Emir of Qassim opened the exhibition on the Holy Quran held by the university under the title "It is a Holy Quran" in the main lobby, in the presence of the calligrapher of the Holy Quran, Dr. Osman Taha. The exhibition presented the Kingdom's efforts in caring for the Holy Quran, and contained photographs, manuscripts and old Qurans, in addition to displaying all the historical stages of the Holy Quran since the date of the revelation of the Holy Quran in detail to Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) and the stages of collecting the Holy Quran during the reign of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Uthman bin Affan, may Allah be pleased with them, and the Umayyad state, respectively.
After that, a documentary was shown about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's care for the Holy Quran from its inception until the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Holy Quran has reached great heights, whether in terms of memorizing, reciting and working with it as a constitution and methodology, or printing and translating it into all languages of the world through the King Fahd Press for the Holy Quran and caring for its memorizers and readers from all parts of the world.
His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal then inaugurated the Holy Quran application project for the University Quran, which is a free electronic application provided by the university on the Apple Store and Android platforms. The application contains everything the reader needs, including a high-resolution image of the Holy Quran with interpretation, recitation and other features that help the user to read easily and conveniently.
At the conclusion of the competition, HH the Emir of Qassim honored the arbitrators, participants, and winning students at the level of the region in all grades, through four approved branches of memorization in the competition, namely: The first branch is memorizing the entire Quran, the second branch is memorizing twenty parts, the third branch is memorizing ten parts, and the fourth branch is memorizing five parts
