Health and Awareness Event at the University on the occasion of "World Diabetes Day" and "International Volunteer Day"

The university, represented by the student club at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, organized a health, awareness, and educational event at Al Othaim Mall in Unaizah Governorate on Friday, December 6, 2019, in observance of «World Diabetes Day» and «International Volunteer Day.» The event provided awareness services and numerous health check-ups for 321 beneficiaries from all segments of society.

 

The exhibition, inaugurated by the college dean, Dr. Mohammed Al-Sehli, in the presence of the college's Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fares Al-Rumaihi, Head of the Medical Laboratories Department, Dr. Ahmed Al-Matroudi, Student Club Supervisor, Dr. Majed Maafa, and mall management, also included health and awareness services. These services included: random blood sugar testing, vision and double vision testing for children, educating beneficiaries about their conditions, as well as a booth on the importance of volunteer work in serving the community. The exhibition also featured an entertainment booth for children, in addition to distributing commemorative and awareness gifts to visitors.
