During the introductory meeting of the "Ibtikar20 Incubator", Dr. Abdullah Al-Muhaimid, Supervisor of the Innovation and Intellectual Property Center at the university, presented an overview of the incubator, which comes to spread the spirit of competition and support the innovation and creativity index in achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030, by raising the level of the projects of university graduates and contributing to their transformation The incubator targets male and female students of Qassim University who have graduation projects, in addition to an overview of entrepreneurship and why the university needs this incubator, how to get the entrepreneurial idea and the stages of reaching it, how to draw the entrepreneurial idea, and present the testable model.
Al-Muhaimid also emphasized that the objectives that "Ibtikar 20" seeks to achieve include spreading and promoting the culture of innovation and intellectual property, incubating innovative ideas for graduation projects, linking promising and distinguished projects with local investors, as well as filing patents. The project also provides financial support for graduation projects worth no more than 5000 riyals for each project, in addition to incentive prizes where the first place holder gets 15,000 riyals, in addition to 5,000 riyals for the project supervisor, while the second place gets 10,000 riyals, the third place gets 5,000 riyals, the fourth place gets 3,000 riyals, and the fifth place gets 2,000 riyals,5000 riyals, in addition to 5,000 riyals for the project supervisor, while the second place holder gets 10,000 riyals, the third place holder gets 5,000 riyals, the fourth place holder gets 3,000 riyals, while the fifth place holder gets 2,000 riyals.
