The College of Science and Arts in Al-Nabhaniyah, affiliated with the university, began its operations in its new headquarters, which was inaugurated during the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – on his recent visit to the Qassim region, as part of the projects inaugurated in the region. The female staff of the college began their work in the new building on Sunday, corresponding to 17/12/1440 AH, in preparation for receiving approximately 830 female students at the beginning of the new academic year next Sunday.
For her part, Dean of the College, Dr. Majida Al-Aayed, explained that the new building has been equipped to receive female students in four specializations: English Language, Islamic Studies, Mathematics, and Physics, under the directives of His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University.
"Al-Ayed" added that the new building is equipped with all necessary facilities for the educational process on a total area estimated at 15,000 square meters. The building includes 27 classrooms prepared to receive female students, in addition to five physics labs, one chemistry lab, and two computer labs equipped with all supplies. The building also contains a main library equipped with reading tables, individual offices for research and study, and a number of valuable scientific and knowledge books. Additionally, there is a cafeteria with a large seating capacity for female students, and a number of meeting rooms and fully equipped training halls for conducting training courses.
The Dean of the college confirmed that this new building comes as part of the strong endeavor of our wise government, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – to serve the nation and its citizens, and in anticipation of achieving Vision 2030. She prayed to God Almighty for success and guidance for all in the service of religion and the nation.
