As usual every year, the University Rangers participate in serving the pilgrims in the holy sites, where two teams of the University Rangers joined the public service camps for the Hajj season 1440 AH, each team consisting of 16 students, within the Arafat Scout Camp, in which 53 parties from all over the Kingdom participate, divided into 28 parties in the guidance centers and 25 parties participating in the movement of pilgrims to the Jamarat.
The university's Jawala students joined two important sites in the holy sites, one in the work of guiding lost pilgrims, and the second site in the work of guiding pilgrims to throw the Jamarat to facilitate the movement of crowds.
For his part, Dr. Ali Al-Aqlaa, Dean of Student Affairs, explained that the university, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, was keen to qualify the students participating in serving the pilgrims so that they contribute to serving them in the hoped-for manner, pointing out that the university's participation extends over fifteen days in the holy sites, with the encouragement and support of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University.
He pointed out that the excellence shown by the university's Rangers teams in previous years in the field of serving pilgrims in the holy sites has allowed them to participate in two teams this year with 32 students, pointing out that the university has always qualified about 150 students annually in the scouting activity to participate in all seasonal work, whether inside or outside the Qassim region, in addition to external participation, as the university believes in its multiple roles in community service, stressing that the most important of these voluntary events that students compete to participate in is serving the guests of the Sacred House of Allah from visitors to the Holy Mosque and pilgrims.
The Dean of Student Affairs pointed out that the university had previously participated with two teams of its students in the blessed month of Ramadan, and won many awards for the excellence of its students in performing the service roles assigned to them, as the university won the Golden Shield (first place) in the exceptional programs at the camp, the Silver Shield (second place) for the best headquarters, and the Golden Shield (first place) for the best service on campus.
