A number of male and female university students passed the final preference to join the "Tuwaiq Cyber Camp", organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, within a group of 100 trainees. 5 male and female students from the College of Computing, in addition to a student from the Computer Department at the College of Science and Arts in Al-Ris, succeeded in passing the preference after competition and specialized technical challenges with more than 31,000 applicants for the camp, which comes within the framework of the Kingdom Vision 2030 and its efforts to qualify competencies in this precise specialization to obtain a safe cyberspace.
From the Department of Information Technology at the College of Computing, students Arwa Al-Hanini and Abdulrahman Al-Dhaheri qualified, while from the Department of Computer Science, students Basil Al-Barak, Sultan Al-Dihani, and Younis Al-Nuqaidan qualified, and student Omar bin Abdullah Al-Amir from the Department of Computing at the College of Science and Arts in Al-Ras qualified.
It is noteworthy that the "Tuwaiq Cyber Camp", which is held in Riyadh, aims to prepare programmers capable of developing web and applications in various platforms and prepare them for the labor market; as well as to build professional national capabilities in the field of advanced technologies in accordance with the best practices and international standards, where participants live in the camp during 14 weeks nine hours a day over five days a week: Project-based learning, tasks and challenges to ensure that the nationals are fully prepared for the labor market, in addition to providing the necessary support and guidance to the trainees in this field.
