His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, inaugurated today, Monday, the "University Driving School" at the University City in Al-Malida, in the presence of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, and the Director of the General Directorate of Traffic, Major General Mohammed Al-Bassami. His Highness also launched the website for registration at the school, which is located on an area of 55 thousand square meters and contains more than 20 traffic skills, where 40 Saudi driving instructors were qualified.

 

 

 

In his speech following the opening of the Leadership School, HH the Emir of Qassim expressed thanks, appreciation and joy for such a great civilizational achievement, saying: "I am proud to be among brothers from the country who work day and night to achieve this achievement, as the excellence of this school comes for its localization of 100% and this is what the region is proud of, when the civilizational achievements directed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince are managed and implemented by the daughters of the nation who work on this achievement with high efficiency."

 

 

 

He added: "When I looked at this school and saw the simulators, simulators, incubators, service providers, and the proximity of the hospital to the trainees, all this calls for pride, and perhaps there are no such devices and high-level technology in the brotherly Arab countries that preceded us in the experiment, and I am very proud, and I thank His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood." He added: "What makes me proud of such an achievement is that it is in the hands of our daughters and sisters from the daughters of the homeland who are committed to their constants and their cover, obedience to Allah and what He has commanded them to cover, and keenness to reward so that they become an example for the daughters of the country, and this enables them to participate in the development process from driving cars and jobs, and enable them to work, and we have come a long way in the region in terms of empowering women," he added.

 

 

 

In his speech following the opening of the school, the UQU President emphasized that the university's participation in establishing this school, which was inaugurated today, is a proof that this ancient university seeks to serve this country in various fields, as the initiative stemmed from the initiatives of Vision 2030 and the empowerment of Saudi women in serving the community, expressing the pride of the university staff in the patronage and inauguration of His Highness the Emir of the region for the leadership school that was established within a few months, from the launch of the idea to starting construction, then recruitment, until the launch today and the start of training.

 

 

 

The university director said: "Localization was our focus in establishing this school, and we seek to graduate the school with Saudi hands 100% with the success of God Almighty, then with the support of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman - may God protect them - and the support and encouragement of His Highness the Emir of the region and his continuous follow-up and motivation, and his presence today and his inauguration of the school is proof of that." Al-Dawood thanked the General Directorate of Traffic under the leadership of His Excellency Major General Mohammed Al-Bassami, stressing that the great work we have reached in this school is the result of the efforts of an integrated team since 8 months, as it is no secret to specialists that these works need two years to come out with these specifications, thanking all workers at the university and the traffic men.

 

 

 

For his part, Major General Mohammed Al-Bassami, Director of the General Directorate of Traffic, praised the University Driving School: He praised the University Driving School, stressing that it is the most distinguished at the level of the Kingdom's schools and exceeded the schools we have seen in some countries of the world, extending his thanks to His Highness the Emir of the region for his patronage and to His Excellency the President of the University and all employees for this achievement, which is considered a pride for us at the national level, as this school was added to the series of driving schools in the Kingdom. He stressed that what we witnessed today of the wonderful components, a field that embraces 20 skills and can be expanded, and capable Saudi trainers is one of the living achievements that were made to train the daughters of the country, and this is the real gain and is a pride for the country.

 

 

 

"Al-Bassami" expected the outputs of this school to reflect on the level of behavior, quality and outputs in the coming days, pointing out that the school enables girls in the Qassim region to teach and learn in a wonderful educational environment, stressing his happiness on this day and expecting the school to reflect on cadres to drive vehicles in the coming days, pointing out that Qassim University accepted the request of the General Directorate of Traffic to establish this school and was implemented in record time with an inspiring and wonderful team, so I offer them all my thanks and gratitude for this initiative.

 

 

 

The principal of the school, Ms. Ruqaiya bint Sulaiman Al-Suqaiya, delivered a speech on this occasion, in which she said: "On this day, we are proud to inaugurate one of the fruits of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which was led by our rulers, may God protect them and guide their steps to empower Saudi women and involve them in the construction and renaissance of this blessed country."

 

The Director of the Leadership School emphasized that the patronage of His Highness the Emir of the region undoubtedly comes out of his belief in enhancing the role of women in the region. On behalf of her colleagues and the daughters of Qassim, she thanked His Highness for sharing this joy with them, and thanked the UQU President for his interest and support, asking God to perpetuate the goodness of this country.
