Media center:
The Deanship of Admission and Registration at Qassim University has completed the admission work for the new academic year 1434/1435 AH by admitting more than fifteen thousand male and female students in (36) colleges in various cities, governorates and centers of the region.
This was stated by the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Saawi, pointing out that the preparations made by the deanship were in accordance with a number of procedural processes before and during the admission processes in an effort to ensure the success in completing the admission work in the most complete manner.
Dr. Al-Saawi explained that this year's admission processes were carried out through a number of processes that began with the announcement of the introduction of the service of premium mail for students for the first time this year, after it proved its great success for female students for the past four years, as the student no longer needs to visit the university or the Deanship of Admission and Registration to finalize his or her admission, but only needs to send the required documents to the university through one of the premium post offices spread in all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He went on to say: These tests were held before the announcement of the opening of the application for admission on the Internet with sufficient time so that the student could know his situation when applying, as more than a thousand students applied for them, and those who passed them were identified, and the competition for these specializations was limited to those who passed these tests.
The Dean of Admission and Registration added that cooperation was also carried out with the National Center for Measurement and Evaluation, the Ministry of Education and the Vice Presidency of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University for Scientific Institutes in obtaining the data of all male and female students of the third grade of secondary school and those who obtained the high school diploma and the scores of general abilities and achievement and enter them in the university database so that they are available when the student applies to the university, and then calculate the weighted and equivalent scores for each student, knowing that the weighted score means the total score of high school grades and abilities multiplied by thirty percent in addition to the achievement score.
Dr. Al-Saawi added that the online application door was opened for more than twelve days to give the opportunity to the largest possible number of male and female applicants, and the male and female applicants had to enter the university's main website and then enter the civil registration number to show all their data, so the applicant only had to enter the desires for the required majors and order them according to the applicant's priority, and after completing filling out the data, a request number appears to the student through which he can review the site and inquire about his admission status when the admission results are announced.
He emphasized: In order to achieve equality in the admission process, the Deanship of Admission and Registration must ensure that the screening process for all male and female applicants is done automatically without any human intervention at all for each application according to the equivalent or weighted ratio and the desires that the applicant entered during the application period.
The Dean of Admission and Registration added that the process that followed the processing of data and the exclusion of incomplete or incorrect applications was the announcement of admission, giving dates and directing those accepted and accepted to review the excellent mail with the required documents, which are the admission application form, the secondary certificate, the copy of the identity card for students and the family book for female students.
Premier Mail delivered all files on a daily basis, ranging from 800 to 1200 files per day, so that the employees working in the admission committees finalize these files on a daily basis so that not a single file remains or is delayed until the next day, and by the end of the twenty-third day of the blessed month of Ramadan, more than fifteen thousand files were received and finalized their admission, praise be to God Almighty.
Dr. Al-Saawi stated that the number of those admitted to the various colleges of the university amounted to 4262 students and 6286 female students for the first semester and 2248 students and 2401 female students for the second semester, and 545 students were admitted for the first semester and 290 for the second semester in the two community colleges in Buraidah and Unaiza Governorate, and 1163 female students were admitted to the affiliation system, making a total of 15315 (fifteen thousand three hundred and fifteen students) admitted to the university colleges. He added that the university is striving to open more colleges so that the field is wider in accepting a larger number of female students organized and not by affiliation system, as this year the College of Science and Arts was accepted in the province of Oyun Al-Jawa to add to the new colleges of the university in the governorates of Al-Asiyah, Al-Bada'i and Dhariyah, which were opened last year.
Dr. Al-Saawi pointed out that the deanship did its best to achieve the principle of justice in providing an opportunity for all applicants to the university and female applicants based on the mission of the deanship, namely:
Fairness in dealing Ease of service. He concluded his statement by thanking the university administration for its efforts and support for the Deanship of Admission and Registration to carry out its tasks to the fullest, headed by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Khaled Al-Hamoudi, the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Ahmed Al-Tami and all the distinguished vice presidents.
