Recovering from athletic exertion

Course description: Description of the various fields of recovery from physical exertion and its importance for athletes, and the different timings for applying recovery strategies based on the time period of the training season, while identifying the most important functional and biochemical changes that occur during exposure to various training loads and are positively affected by different recovery methods, in addition to explaining the most important modern recovery modalities and how to use and apply them to achieve optimal benefit.

Objectives of the course :

This course aims to acquire knowledge regarding recovery from physical exertion:
1- Lists the different fields of sports recovery.
2- Explains the general principles of recovery and its application in sports activities.
3- It explains the recovery goals for athletes and the functional and biochemical changes during the training stages and the application of recovery.
4- Explains the importance of distinguishing between recovery from exertion and preparation for competitions.
5- It reviews the foundations of recovery for female, adolescent, and young athletes.
6- It presents modern and various methods and means of recovery from physical exertion and how to use and apply them.
