Deviant Trends in Interpretation

Course Description: This course aims to root researchers' skills in the field of interpretative criticism by studying issues of deviation in the exegesis of the Holy Quran. It will clarify the methodology for criticizing and classifying deviant approaches, along with an introduction to the efforts of scholars in critical studies. The course also sheds light on the analysis and criticism of contemporary Quranic readings according to a sound scientific methodology.
Credit hours: 4
Objectives of the course :

The student can distinguish between deviant interpretations, study them analytically and critically, revealing the nature of each deviation, warning against it, and being able to refute it according to a grounded scientific methodology.

To demonstrate a deep understanding of the concept of deviation in the interpretation of the Holy Quran, its causes, types, and effects.
