Growth theories and their applications

Course Description: Teaches: The function of theory in explaining the growth process, theoretical and applied treatment of concepts related to growth and development, major theoretical trends in growth, applications of growth theories and their role in the learning process, educational applications of various theoretical and research aspects that studied growth, the behavioral approach in explaining growth, the cognitive theory and information processing approach in explaining growth, theoretical trends specific to the development of thinking and language and development (cognitive, linguistic, moral, and the most important psychoanalytic theories and other growth theories.

Objectives of the course :

The student will learn about the most important inclusions and applications of growth theories and their role in the learning process. The student will review the educational applications of the various theoretical and research approaches that studied growth.

Course outputs :

Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to:
- Definition of the role of theory in explaining the process of growth. Providing theoretical and applied treatment of concepts related to growth and development.
- Explanation of the main theoretical trends of growth and presentation of practical applications of growth theories and their role in the learning process
- Explanation of the educational applications of various theoretical and research approaches that have studied development, including the behavioral approach's perspective on explaining development, and the cognitive and information processing theory's perspective on explaining development.
