Course Description: This course introduces the functions and capabilities of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, comparing them with non-integrated information systems. It also identifies functional business areas, processes, the development history of ERP systems, and enabling technologies. Additionally, the course discusses the pros and cons of implementing an ERP system, and the benefits of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems, and accounting and management reporting as useful add-ons to ERP software.
