Fitness principles and applications

Course Description: This course covers the principles of physical fitness and its importance, physical fitness and behavior modification, nutrition and physical fitness for health, physical fitness and body composition, physical fitness and weight management, cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength and endurance, range of motion, flexibility, and elasticity, skills for designing a physical fitness program, stress management and physical fitness, and physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle. It also covers how to gradually develop elements of physical fitness and select appropriate physical and skill-based tests according to the nature of different sports.

Objectives of the course :

This course covers the principles of physical fitness and its importance, physical fitness and behavior modification, nutrition and physical fitness for health, physical fitness and body composition, physical fitness and weight management, cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength and endurance, range of motion and flexibility, skills for designing a fitness program, stress management and physical fitness, and physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

1- Knowledge and Understanding:
1-1 Explains knowledge and information related to the importance and principles of physical fitness and its related types of physical activities.
2-1 Plans, designs, and presents physical fitness and endurance, respiratory endurance, muscular strength and endurance, and range of motion and flexibility.
3-1 Explains the relationship between physical fitness, body composition, and weight management.
Design a fitness program with clear and specific goals according to each age group and in accordance with the individual's health status.
2- Skills:
2-1 Applies methods for assessing components of physical fitness using appropriate measurement tools.
2-2 Executes physical exercises and activities related to fitness components according to scientific principles.
3-2 Design a simplified training unit that targets the development of one component of physical fitness.
