Secondary education

Course Description: The course covers topics including the origins and development of secondary education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the structure, philosophy, and objectives of secondary education, various patterns and systems of secondary education, the cognitive, skill-based, and affective domains that secondary education aims to impart to its students, global trends in the reform and renewal of secondary education, prominent Arab and international experiences and models in secondary education, and an explanation of secondary education's challenges and ways to address them in light of contemporary trends.

Objectives of the course :

The student should be knowledgeable about the theoretical knowledge and basic concepts of secondary education, its historical development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the structure of general and technical secondary education, contemporary educational issues, and the characteristics of its internal and external community, its foundations, types, and organizations, and the educational innovations it has witnessed at the global, Arab, and local levels, in addition to identifying the problems of secondary education and ways to address them.
