Course Description: This course provides a theoretical overview of comparative education concepts and their historical development, and the objectives of comparative education. It also covers the methodology of comparative studies, its fields, how to conduct comparative studies, and ways to benefit from them. The course also addresses an applied aspect of comparative studies, exemplified by a presentation of some education systems in a number of developed countries and developing countries. It also presents some foreign and Arab education systems and compares them to each other, and how to benefit from them. The course also covers current and future trends in comparative studies, and ways to benefit from them in theoretical studies and field research.

Objectives of the course :

The student should be familiar with the theoretical knowledge of comparative education and educational systems in terms of concept, objectives, importance, and the forces and factors influencing the formation of these systems. The student should be able to analyze and compare educational systems in some countries, and to know the experiences of some countries in public and higher government and private education. It also aims to develop the student's skill in the methodology of conducting comparative studies and ways to benefit from them.
