Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to grasp the skills associated with computer use in education, including the importance of computers in education, computers in the teaching and learning processes, Computer-Based Instruction (CBI)/Computer-Based Learning (CBL) modes, Computer-Managed Instruction (CMI)/Computer-Managed Learning (CML), computer applications in education, application software, and how to utilize them in educational situations.
Knowledge:
1.1 Mention three definitions of the educational computer and the remaining stages of the development of computer use in learning.
1.2 enumerates the capabilities of computers in education and discusses the problems and obstacles that hinder their use in teaching.
1.3 Discusses the impact of computer use in education and learning and lists the reasons for using computers in education.
1.4 Discusses computer-assisted learning patterns, programmed instruction, tutoring, simulation software, educational games, tests, message transmission, multimedia, and hypermedia references in terms of: their concept, scope, components, preparation steps, utilization, and how to benefit from them in education and curricula.
1.5 Compares e-learning management systems, platforms, and their applications by describing influential factors and accredited scientific seminars in e-learning.
1.6 Discusses some visual aids in e-learning (e-teacher, e-book, virtual classroom, virtual university, and virtual school).
