Course Description: The course includes the concept of curriculum and related terminology, foundations for curriculum construction, stages of curriculum construction in light of different foundations, the reality of school curricula in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, critique of examples of curricular units, curriculum construction standards, models for curriculum organization, curriculum development: its importance, justifications, methods, steps, and how to evaluate it.

The student should be knowledgeable in the theoretical and applied knowledge and concepts of curriculum construction foundations, including cultural, social, philosophical, and psychological foundations, curriculum construction stages, their reality and problems in the Kingdom, and how to develop them: trends, methods, justifications, steps, and how to evaluate them.
