Course Description: The course aims to present the most important modern trends in science curricula and teaching methods (implementation, teaching, and remediation) and the most prominent theories and experiences that offer applications in the field of science teaching (globally, regionally, and locally).
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
1. Recognizes the philosophy of active learning.
Understands active learning strategies and procedures for their use in science teaching.
3. Plans science lessons using applied teaching methods for cognitive and constructivist learning theories and models: (Information processing, Marzano's Dimensions of Learning model...).
4. Recognizes applied models for e-learning and science education.
5. Employs technology in science teaching.
6. Differentiate between science teaching approaches: (Discovery approach, Inquiry approach, Mental operations approach, Concept approach).
7. Critiques models from curriculum and unit development experiences in science according to certain approaches: (Constructivist approach, Integrative approach, Integrative thematic approach, Life applications approach).
Units in science education are planned according to certain approaches.
