Course Description: • Theoretical: (Definition of nutritional requirements – Food requirement tables – Study of nutritional requirements for different age groups – Food composition tables and how to use them – The complete meal – The food pyramid – Food groups for planning balanced meals – Using the food exchange system – Calculating an individual's energy requirements – Methods for evaluating meals and nutritional status – Applications in meal planning) • Practical: (Training students on how to use measuring cups and scales in the laboratory – Training students on preparing some meals and calculating their nutrient content using food analysis tables – Planning meals for preschool children, school-aged children, adolescents, young adults, pregnant and lactating women, and the elderly)
