Professionalism in Medical Practice

Course Description: Professionalism in Medical Practice is a foundational course for medical students. This course equips students with the fundamental concepts of professionalism. It is a longitudinal (semester-long) course. The primary methods of teaching and learning in this course are interactive lectures, discussions, and seminars. However, case studies as well as role-playing will be used as alternative methods. This course will be assessed in writing, including multiple-choice questions and assignments. Some scenario-based cases will be used in assessments.

1. Identify the key concepts of professionalism.
2. Recognizing the importance of addressing professional behavior during study, work, and interaction with society.
3. Patient safety is considered professional behavior in practice.
