The student should clarify what distinguished writings not influenced by modern linguistic approaches, such as: Ibrahim Mustafa, Mahdi Al-Makhzoumi, and Shawqi Deif, or were influenced by the comparative historical approach, such as: Bräunlich-Ramadan Abdel Tawab, Ibrahim Anis, or were influenced by the descriptive structural approach, such as: Tamam Hassan, Abdel Rahman Ayoub, or were influenced by the generative approach, such as: Al-Fassi Al-Fihri and Salah El-Din El-Sherif, or were influenced by the functional approach, such as: Ahmed Al-Mutawakkil, or were influenced by other linguistic trends.
