Reading Skill (2) (Reading in the Linguistic Library)

Course Description: This course focuses on developing students' self-learning skills, improving reading performance, and training students in (raising their voice, not slurring letters or words, and varying intonation between rise and fall, and between speed and pause).
Credits: 2
Prerequisites: ARAB106
Objectives of the course :

1- Developing reading performance (raising voice, not slurring letters or words, varying intonation between rising and falling notes and between speeding up and slowing down).
Developing comprehension and understanding of what is read.
3 - Encouraging students to explore the treasures of Arab heritage.
4. Developing linguistic abilities and fostering a spirit of scientific research.
5 – Developing Self-Learning Skills
6. Developing skills for conscious and beneficial use of learning resources.

Course outputs :
  • It develops reading, comprehension, and inferential skills for written texts.
  • The student will learn the history of linguistic composition and the efforts of scholars in collecting the language.
  • The student should mention the most important language books written on synonyms and antonyms, rare words, anecdotes, dictionaries, and grammar.
  • Students will become familiar with prominent grammarians and their authorship methodologies.
