Organizational Behavior in Educational Institutions

Course Description: This course covers the definition of organizational behavior in educational institutions, its historical development, and contemporary theories. It explores the meaning of perception and its influencing factors, as well as the roles required to achieve desired goals. The course also addresses the nature and importance of the learning process, motivation, its processes, and theories. It delves into personality, its traits, components, and influencing factors, and examines work groups in educational sectors, their formation, conflicts, and how they can be managed. Finally, it discusses leadership traits suitable for the needs and demands of work, which can be used to cope with work pressures and foster organizational development in educational institutions. .

Objectives of the course :

The course aims to introduce the student to the importance of organizational behavior in educational institutions, its historical development, and the theories that have addressed the science of behavior. It also covers perception and its importance to behavior, and the role of the environment and the individual in the perception process. The course explores learning, how it can be acquired, transferred, and applied, and motivation, including its concepts, theories, and applications. It also examines personality, its traits, components, and the factors influencing its formation. Additionally, the course delves into psychological attitudes regarding persuasion and job satisfaction. It further covers work groups in educational institutions, their formation, types, causes of conflict, and how to resolve it. It examines leadership behavior, its patterns, and theories. Finally, the course addresses patterns and types of organizational development, its causes and motivations, and how it can be directed towards change.
