Curriculum and Thinking Development

Course Description: The course covers the concept of thinking, its characteristics, types of thinking, and its skills. It discusses how to incorporate thinking skills into curricula, apply strategies for developing thinking across school curricula, the role of the teacher and learner in developing thinking, and how to evaluate the outcomes of thinking learning across the curriculum. It also examines the reality of school education in developing thinking and the function of thinking.

Objectives of the course :

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to: define the concept of thinking, its characteristics, patterns, and skills; understand how to integrate thinking skills into curricula; apply strategies for developing thinking across school curricula; comprehend the roles of teachers and learners in developing thinking; learn how to assess thinking learning outcomes across the curriculum; understand the reality of school education in developing thinking; and grasp the function of thinking.
