Comparative anatomy

Course Description: This course aims to study the scientific foundations of comparative anatomy by introducing the phylum Chordata, its general characteristics, and classification. It focuses on studying the anatomical structures of a selected group of organisms belonging to this phylum. This includes analyzing various body systems such as the digestive, circulatory, and urogenital systems, in addition to the skeletal, integumentary, and nervous systems. The course also focuses on comparing these organisms to understand their similarities and differences, and to link this to functional and evolutionary aspects. The course includes a practical component involving the study of models, slides, and dissections, which contributes to developing students' skills in precise observation and scientific analysis.
