Course Description: This course introduces students to the interrelationships between nutrition, food, and the environment and their impact on health status. It focuses on the multiple factors that influence food intake, and the role of nutrients and their functions in promoting health and well-being throughout life stages.

1. Mention the main characteristics, functions, and important dietary sources of nutrients.
2. Describe human nutritional and energy needs throughout life and during physical training.
Translate human nutritional and energy needs into daily food choices using appropriate standards and guidelines.
4. Explain the importance of dietary practices for nutrition and disease prevention.
5. Evaluating the effectiveness of meal plans in terms of their nutritional adequacy, nutrient density, balance, variety, and calorie control.
