Overview

Community Dentistry focuses on the prevention and control of oral diseases and the promotion of optimal oral health through community programs and through epidemiological and scientific research into oral health issues prevalent in the community. The Department of Community Dentistry at the College of Dentistry, Qassim University, focuses on oral health education, scientific research and community service.

Objectives :

1. Develop students to assume their ethical responsibility for the oral health of all members of society.
2. Increase students' understanding of the basic principles of applied dental research and community dental practice
3. Prepare students to work in an interdisciplinary team required to promote oral health.
4. Promote student communication, organization, and leadership skills.
