Overview

The Department of Statistics and Operations Research is one of the academic departments of the College of Science at Al-Qassim University. The statistics program was established in the academic year 1431 A.H. Since its launch, it has contributed to preparing distinguished national cadres in the fields of statistics. The first batch of the program graduated in 1434-8-1-1 AH. The department currently offers a bachelor's program in statistics, which aims to provide students with the theoretical and applied foundations in various fields of statistics. It also offers a minor program (Minor) in Data Analysis, which was approved on 12-9-1445 A.H., with the aim of providing students with the necessary knowledge and skills in data analysis and applied statistics. The department is keen to prepare distinguished scientific cadres capable of meeting the needs of the labor market and contributing effectively in the fields of scientific research and community service.

Objectives :

- Preparing qualified cadres to contribute to serving the development and comprehensive development witnessed by the Kingdom in various fields of life.
- Filling specialized positions in both the public and private sectors.
-Promoting scientific research in the field of statistics, studying statistical issues and conducting scientific research to find solutions
Participate in national and international conferences.
