An Overview
The Department of Finance at the College of Business and Economics at Qassim University is one of the leading scientific departments in preparing distinguished specialists in the field of finance through innovative learning and teaching, scientific research, and effective partnership with the business sector, since its establishment under the umbrella of the College of Economics and Administration in 1423 AH. In 1445, the new structure of the College of Economics and Administration was approved by the University Council (Decision No. 45/19/24), which included: - Amending the name of the college to "College of Business and Economics" and separating the Department of Finance from the Department of Economics. The Department of Finance seeks to develop the knowledge, skills, and values that qualify male and female students to work and compete in a wide range of jobs in the field of finance and keep pace with the rapid changes in the same field, by providing a high-quality educational, research, and community environment.
Objectives :
1. Emphasize the quality of education in the department.
2. Raising the merit, competitiveness, professional and technical ability of students.
3. Support and encourage scientific and applied research and innovation to promote sustainable development.
4. Strengthening community service and partnership with the business sector.
The department seeks to achieve its goals through study programs characterized by the following:
- Qualifying graduates with competitive advantages in the labor market.
- Developing community partnerships to raise the financial awareness of the community.
- A student sponsorship that aims to develop a curriculum that provides a solid foundation.
- A distinctive, sequential, and clear teaching style, which is reflected in the curriculum.
- Strengthening the scientific research system to develop the educational process.
- A diverse curriculum that is continuously developed in response to the rapid changes in the field of finance, the growing role of the digital revolution in the same field, and the requirements of the labor market, which requires the diversity of knowledge related to the specialization of finance.
