Master of Science in Human Nutrition
Description:
The Master of Science in Human Nutrition program at the College of Agriculture and Food at Qassim University aims to prepare specialized cadres in the field of human nutrition to contribute to the planning and follow-up of various nutritional programs in the Kingdom. The program provides the opportunity for graduates to complete their postgraduate studies in the field of human nutrition and cover the academic shortage in this aspect in the Kingdom and work to identify the nutritional issues faced by Saudi society in general and the Qassim region in particular, such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, blood pressure and others and find solutions to them. The student in the program studies a number of courses (30 credit hours) in addition to submitting a scientific thesis (6 credit hours).

1- Preparing specialized technical cadres in the field of human nutrition to contribute to the planning and follow-up of various nutritional programs in the Kingdom.
2- Encouraging scientific research in different disciplines in human nutrition to carry out academic and applied research and provide appropriate solutions to technical issues in this field.
3- Providing an opportunity for bachelor's graduates to complete their postgraduate studies in the field of human nutrition and cover the academic shortage in this aspect in the Kingdom.
4- Sensitizing the Saudi community to the role of human nutrition in supporting health and preventing disease.
5- Conducting a nutritional survey to identify the nutritional issues faced by the Saudi society in general and the Qassim region in particular, such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, blood pressure, etc.
